Schools Re-open!

Crisp smart(sometimes long!) uniform,
New bag, pencil box, stationery
Fresh covered books and notebooks
Bright white/shining black shoes,
Brisk walk, excited faces,
Cheerful recharged souls,
Tiny head full of holiday stories/fantasies,
Anticipation to meet old friends,
Nervousness about making new friends in new schools,
Pride of being in a higher class,
Planning for lunch time/evening games
Looking forward to new class teacher
Crying kids and worried parents of K.G

There is so much of excitement in the city... cha, really miss that good old days.
School days(Especially L.K.G to Class 10) - One period of life when everybody else worries about you and does the work for you. Parents make you learn, teachers teach and give you notes, conduct special classes for the weak. They take care of you and your studies. You just gotta play around!

Wish I could get back to my school days again!

Nice reminiscences. The smell of freshly bound books is certainly nice.
I am terribly afraid of exams, sometimes I dream of sitting in an exam hall not knowing answers to anything. Childhood? Me the escape (as one great writer said).

Don't have a wish to go back to school days, its not like good old days, now you have to study a lot and get 150/100 to get admission for higher studies :-)

adede..neenga solratha paatha ungaluku schooluku porathuna romba pidikum pola, athuvum leavuku appuram.
But 'our' school days and the school days 'now' are very different. The sight of the heavy school bag these kids carry scares me.

Those beautiful days are gone! As the comments iterate, there ARE differences b/w our good old days and the scenario the present day kids field. Anyway, kids are kids and they are enjoying their time.
